Two MDPI journals have been removed from Web of Science
Clarivate Analytics recently removed approximately 50 journals from the Web of Science database.
On its website it said that in order to include new journals, books and proceedings on the Web of Science uses strict criteria and transparent selection criteria. According to the company said only a fraction of the of journals (less than 15%). Interestingly, among the journals removed are two journals from MDPI, with the journal IJERPH is one of the largest journals in the publisher's portfolio and was indexed in quartile Q1 by IF and Q2 by AIS.
