The Werner von Siemens Award is one of the most significant independent initiatives of its kind in the Czech Republic, given its scope, prize fund, and long history. Siemens Czech Republic organizes it with key representatives from universities and the Czech Academy of Sciences, who also participate in evaluating entries in each category. Over the last 26 years, 470 students, educators, and scientists have been awarded, with total prize money exceeding 16.4 million CZK.
