BUT heads to meet Slovak high school students at Gaudeamus and Roadshow events
Many Slovak high school students choose South Moravia as their destination for higher education. For those who are considering studying at technical universities, the Brno University of Technology will present its wide range of study opportunities at key educational events across Slovakia.
The Gaudeamus fairs are among the best-known educational events aimed at creating meeting places for representatives of educational institutions and their potential students. This year's season of the fairs will kick off in Slovakia and the BUT will be an integral part of it. Slovak students make up about one fifth of the total number of students at Brno University of Technology.
“Slovak students are an integral part of the BUT community, and we are committed to maintaining this trend in the future. Personal consultations with university representatives play a pivotal role in helping high school students make informed decisions about their future studies, which is why we are heavily involved in these events. Our faculties are represented by current students who can share firsthand experiences and motivations with potential applicants,” said Helena Sadílková, the coordinator for BUT, highlighting the significance of such outreach initiatives.
The first Gaudeamus will take place on 24-25 September in Nitra and will continue on 8-10 October in Bratislava. At these fairs, BUT will present its faculties, a diverse range of study programs, and the extracurricular activities it offers, including student teams. Representatives will also provide valuable advice on the application and admission processes.
BUT goes for high school students
In addition to the traditional Gaudeamus, this year BUT will also participate in a Roadshow in Slovak cities. This unique series of half-day events will bring university representatives to eight different Slovak cities, aiming to reach as many high school students as possible with crucial information on higher education options.
BUT will participate in four stops of the Slovak Roadshow, namely in Banská Bystrica (26 September), Poprad (1 October), Prešov (2 October) and Košice (3 October).
