On behalf of the Vice-Rector for Study Affairs prof. RNDr. Miroslav Doupovec, CSc., Dr. h. c. we would like you to pay attention to the following notice because of its high importance.

BUT was requested by the Municipality of Brno to provide students´ personal data from the official student register that is kept by BUT under the current Higher Education Act. The students´ personal data should enable the Municipality of Brno to charge the students a fee for municipal waste in Brno. The fee has to be paid in benefit of the Brno City Hall (tax administrator) by all foreign nationals residing in Brno temporarily, but for longer than 3 months (it is necessary to meet the reporting duty). We were informed by the Office for Personal Data Protection about its opinion requiring the provision of personal data of foreign students to the tax administrator and therefore BUT cannot reject the Brno City Hall's request. Therefore your personal data will be provided to the Brno City Hall in the extent of surname, first name, date of birth, gender, citizenship, permanent address in your home country, address in Brno (or address for delivering of documents).
