New opportunity for four BUT students to study in South Korea, KEPCO
The international collaboration expands study and work opportunities for students and academics, therefore Rector Ladislav Janíček and Vice-Rector for Internationalization Iveta Šimberová of Brno University of Technology are not only looking for new opportunities for cooperation, but are also working on deepening the existing ones. On Wednesday, November 9, they´ve met with the Korean delegation from KEPCO International Nuclear Graduate School represented by University President Dr. Yoo, Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Lim, Dean of External Affairs Prof. Kim, Team Leader of External Affairs Mr. Cho, Team Lead of Education Service Team Ms. Park and Staff of External Affairs Department, Ms. Kim and debated on student mobility.
BUT discussed with the Korean delegation that four BUT students will be able to travel to South Korea every semester for an exchange program and long term exchange instead of the current two and long term exchanges for students and pedagogues will be supported as well. So far, the experience have been available only for Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication and Faculty of Mechanical Engineering students, but newly the students studying chemistry, construction or economics might take part. The universities agreed to continue their cooperation in science, research and to search for opportunities and topics for further joint research which currently focuses on nuclear energy.
