The publication Medical Image Processing, Reconstruction and Analysis - Concepts and Methods, authored by Professor Jiří Jan from the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at FEEC, ranked 80th in the 100 Best Image Processing Books of All Time. The same book then took 52nd place in the 100 Best Signal Processing Books of All Time. This publication presents the basic principles and methods of image processing with respect to the application in biomedical imaging. The book is already the second edition in English, but is supplemented, for example, by a chapter on a modern method of image analysis based on deep learning. Professor Jan has devoted his entire life to the study of biomedical images and signals using computer technology, and he published this book two years ago at CRC Press.
