Brauner lecture hall, Technická 12, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication Brno University of Technology. The lecture will be translated simultaneously.
Don't miss a unique lecture of world-renowned expert who has won several awards from the CIE (International Committee of Ilumination), US Department of Commerce, US Department of Energy and others. His research area spans from photometry, colorimetry, spectroradiometry, and recently, color quality of lighting, with more than one hundred publications. He served as a Group Leader at NIST (National Institut of Standard and Technology) Optical Technology Division from 2003 to 2012, and is appointed as NIST Fellow since 2010. He is very active in national and international standardization work for solid state lighting. He is a Fellow of IES (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) and is known as the primary author of IES LM-79 (Test method for solid state lighting products), LM-85 (Measurement of high-power LEDs), ANSI C78.377 (Chromaticity specifications for solid state lighting products). Internationally, he is active in CIE (International Commission on Illumination) over 20 years. He served as CIE Division 2 Director (2007-2011), Vice President-Technical (2011-2015) and now serves as the President of CIE (2015-2019).
