BUT is the world leader in implementation of IPv6 protocol

According to Akamai Technologies, Inc. mapping the state of world internet Brno University of Technology is the leader in implementing the IPv6 protocol. The university holds the second position with 66 % rate on total service.

IPv6 is the communication protocol that replaces IPv4. Its main advantage is increasing the number of internet addresses for connection of virtually unlimited number of devices to Internet.

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is a company settled in USA which focuses on distribution of Internet content. Their services are used by companies such as Facebook, Twitter, Microsoft or Apple. It ensures distribution of 30 % of web traffic.
