On the project

Thanks to the development of laser technology and its affordability, it has been developed into all possible technical and scientific applications (e.g. distance measurement or eye surgery). In addition, due to the rapid development of information and communication technologies, there are demands on the miniaturization of optical elements (such as smartphone cameras). However, the classical optics does not allow this miniaturization, and in addition, it is technologically difficult to remove the optical defects of conventional lenses. The modern solutions can be the plasmonic metalenses that allow the design of surface optics and the precise control of the optical properties of the electromagnetic wave that passes through this metasurfaces. Our goal is to develop new processes for the production and characterization of these plasmonic metalenses. In addition to the metallic 2D lenses, we also develop dielectric metalenses that can be actively controlled by external parameters (e.g. temperature or electric field). The aim and outputs will be two functional samples for the technological process of production of metal and dielectric plasma metaphors and an article in impacted scientific journal.
