THE CERTIFICATION PROCESS
The conditions for obtaining a certificate:
The basic condition for applying for certification, accepting the application, and performing the certification process is fulfilling the certification scheme requirements for each field (see the overview of the certification fields).
More information is provided to the applicants by Ing. Agáta Védlová.
All the applicants’ data included in the documentation is treated as confidential information at the IFE CB.
The certification process:
Certification is issued for the period of three years in each field. After expiry, recertification is possible.
Before the certification process is started, the applicant receives „Information for applicants“, containing a detailed description of the certification process and the applicant’s input data, the application form, and the applicant’s declaration.
The filled-in input form with the appendices including the application form is sent back to the Certification Body. Based on this form, after examining the input data, a certification and registration agreement is drawn up.
Another step is taking a practical exam. Three papers (specified in the Instructions for certification) must be sent in and they are examined. The applicant is informed about the result of the examination.
A written part follows in the form of a test. The applicant is invited for this test at least two weeks in advance.
After passing the written exam, an oral exam follows. This exam is an interview between the applicant and the examination board.
The certification exam of a real estate agent has two parts – written and oral. The written part is a test and in the oral part two questions are drawn according to the criteria standard.
If the applicant passes all parts of the exam, a certificate is issued based on the decision of the Certification Body director.
During the certificate validity period the certified persons are monitored through the Periodic Monitoring Programme (supervision), namely once a year by filling in a Supervision form.
After the expiry of the certificate, recertification is possible, which starts by sending in an application for recertification.
The Certification Body also offers recertification to holders of certification issued by another certification body accredited by CAI, in compliance with the ČSN EN ISO/IEC 17024 standard.
The recertification exam has a practical and an oral part to which the above mentioned rules apply.
The same rules apply to the recertification exam for a real estate agent as to the certification exam.
After passing the recertification exam a certificate is issued for the period of five years based on the decision of the director.
