Original Abstract
In this paper the possibilities of synthesis of cathode materials with low cobalt content is defined. The work compares the different kinds of synthesis in terms of time, simplicity and needed temperature. Spray drying synthesis was defined as the most promising one especially regarding using low temperatures and also because of the fast process of synthesis. In the other part of this paperwork, attention was paid to the construction of the apparatus and sample preparation itself. According to the SEM characterization the prepared powder contains particles of size from 300 nm to 1.1 µm while more than 70 % of the particles were smaller than 600 nm. From the results of elemental analysis, the distribution of Mn, Co and Ni was uniform and corresponded with similar spray-drying synthesis on professional devices.
