Original Abstract
This contribution deals with a control device design and implementation of a linear mechanical actuator that is a part of a biomechanical testing device based on the Stewart Platform. The linear actuator prototype consists of a DC motor with IRC sensor, a ball screw and a gearing. The control system is implemented in NI LabVIEW from where it is possible to control the constructed prototype through a real-time computer and a power amplifier. Mentioned architecture of the control was chosen with respect to the future expansion from one linear actuator to the whole machine and high computational performance of the control unit. The device for DC motor control is used as a power amplifier of the hardware card output. The main part of the device is a power circuit TI DRV8402.
