Original Abstract
Contract measurement systems are an important tool to increase contract efficiency. Thanks to the increasingly accelerating digitalisation of the industry, software tools are becoming more integrated with such systems. The appropriate choice of software tools is thus becoming crucial for success in business. However, the implementation of these software tools into the corporate structure is fraught with many pitfalls, both in terms of the financial cost of acquiring innovative solutions and the company’s workforce structure. The use of indexes to measure construction contracts is growing in popularity worldwide, as they are a suitable tool to make the whole measuring process and subsequent data evaluation more efficient. The aim of our study was to establish the frequency of using indexes for measurement and, subsequently, to find out which software tools Czech construction companies use in connection with digitalisation. We also investigated the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) among Czech companies. The results show that Czech construction companies are rather conservative in terms of digitalisation and more effort should be expended to promote innovate approaches.
