Course detail

Water tanks and pumping stations

FAST-BP52Acad. year: 2010/2011

The goal of the subject is to introduce pumping equipments in general, and devices for pumping of pure and waste water, sludge and selected chemicals in detail. The knowledge obtained in the subjects “Water Supply” and “Balneotechnics” will be extended into the field of sanitary installation and central heating network. Lessons will be amended by energy and financial balances, design of automatic water supply plants, vacuum stations and simple measurements for water hammer protection. The aim of the subject is to prepare sanitary engineers for solving simple cases of pump using and successful cooperation with mechanical engineers in case of complicated problems, as well as for design of civil engineering parts of pumping station.
