Course detail

Specialized project II

FAST-CW08Acad. year: 2010/2011

·In the course Specialized project II. the student links to the previous project I. and continues in the work on construction-technology design for the construction realization itself. The design data is the realization documentation and already elaborated construction-technology study and construction organisation plan. The output represents supplier production preparation of the site, enabling its execution in good quality, economic and safe execution and optimum solution.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The students will master the objective of the Specialized Project course II, i.e. acquiring the knowledge and practical skills for elaboration of the construction technological project which is elaborated by the building contractor. This is knowledge needed for elaboration of the site plant design, of the detailed time plan of the construction, balance of resources, technology regulation to of the selected construction process, technical reports of the construction technological project for the particular construction. The computer aided documentation processing is applied, using suitable software.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of designing and planning of building constructions, traffic constructions and utility services. Knowledge of execution of building processes, of requirements for their readiness before execution, principles of technology procedures of individual construction processes, their sequence and links, their quality requirement.
Modelling of technology and time structure of the production process of the construction, production area and sources needed for realization, with computer technology application. Planning, optimising and control of the building production.

Course curriculum

1. Processing of bill of quantities of the planned construction
2. Calculating the price calculation and quotation budget by means of computer and determined SW.
3. Processing of the time schedule of the construction in a determined form (Gant graph, network graph, time-spatial diagram).
4. Expressing in numbers all necessary sources
5. Elaboration of inspection and test plan of construction
6. Design and dimensioning of site plant, optimising
7. Design and dimensioning of operational and hygiene site camp
8. Elaboration of the site facilities plan – layout drawing
9. Elaboration of workshop drawings of determined buildings of the site facilities, or given technology formula
10. Technical report for construction-technology design
