Principles of concrete and masonry structure design (input data, codes, documentation).
Selected problems from dimensioning concrete and masonry members.
Details and specialities at design of selected load-bearing structures in the civil and structural engineering.
Software for dimensioning, drawings of shapes and reinforcement and for solution of load-bearing structures. Practical application.
Modelling load-bearing structures on computer. Training programme data for solution of selected problems.

A student gains these knowledge and skills:
• Knowledge about details and special cases in dimensioning and design of concrete load-bearing structures.
• Virtue to utilise computing systems for concrete structures design.
• Virtue for desinging simple specific structural concrete member.

1. Principle of concrete and masonry structures design – basic data, essential actual codes and regulations.
2. Principle of concrete and masonry structures design – project documentation (types, technical report, static calculation, drawings).
3. Selected problems of concrete and masonry members dimensioning.
4. Selected problems of concrete and masonry members dimensioning.
5. Details and specialities in design of load-bearing structures of the structural engineering and building construction.
6. Details and specialities in design of load-bearing structures of the structural engineering and building construction.
7. Software for dimensioning and drawings of reinforcement profile and for load-bearing structures design.
8. Modelling structures of the structural engineering and building construction on computer.
9.–13. Design of simple structural member.
