Building Construction III

Building foundation and construction solution of basic structure basement and basementless building. Construction solution of flat and deep foundation with aspect on foundation condition and building fabric. Building protection against water and soil humidity. Building protection against radon intrusion. Basic problems of fire safety. Determination fire characteristic of building, methology of fire risk determnination, solution escape ways, determination of fire risk space, fire extinguishing system.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will be able to make a proposal solution of lower construction of basement and nonbasement buildings. Student is also able to elaborate a fire-safety solutiuon for simple property.

Prerequisites

Building construction systems,vertical supporting systems, floor structure, overhanging and hanging structure, stair construction, basic knowladge of structure mechanics.

Course curriculum

1.building foundation- static cooperation upper and understructure, backgraound deformation, rules of soil machanics, soil foundation.
2. Variability solution of basement substuctural construction, foundation basementless building, yielding of foundation, design and choice subtructure.
3. Flat foundation, special design of horizontal foundation.
4.Construction of vertical foundation, modern method of foundation.
5.Foundation on field limit, in a gap site, lamp and ventilation holes, variants founation solution of outside addtional building parts.
6.Water proofing of basic structure- choosing effective water proofing, water proofing systems, sample of solution.
7.Solution of under pressure and agrasive water insulation, building proofing against radon infiltration.
8.Fire theory, basic notions and terminology, design proces and determination fire safety systems, fire risk by ČSN 73 0802. average and concentric fire load. Calculating fire load.
9. Fire cells and fire risk free space, degree of fire safety.Fire separate construction. Fire strips.
10.Fire resistance requirements of building construction, certificate of discharge. Fire technical characteristics of building constrction and materials (ability to develop of properties).
11.Exit way-class,quantity, dimension,carrying out. Alternate exit possubility, occupy building of people.
12.Safety distance, examiation by thermal flow intensity and by possibility impact of burning parts.
13.building technical facility,fire extinguishing system,fire flow supply, buildings for housing, change og buildings.

Aims

Design and realization substructure with bond of geological and hydrogeological basement parameters, design and realization measure against radon from basement infiltration into the buliding, design and judgment of fire safety building solution, determination of fire technical characteristics of building construction and materials
