Software for Building Physics

Practical utilization of software equipment for building heat engineering in concurrence on obligatory requirements of technical standard.
Design and verification of thermic ease, thermal technical properties of constructions, new buildings and reconstructions with different purpose of utilization. Optimalization of structure choice. Knowledge and ability of exploitation appropriate software in the heat engineering.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will be able to use software for verificaton of building
structures and objects from the viewpoint of thermal technology.
Student will be able to verify airborne and impact sound insulaton
of envelopes.

Prerequisites

Basic proceeding of heat transfer, thermal and acoustic characteristics of solids, humidity of building materials.

Course curriculum

1.-2. requirements on the thermal and acoustic protection of buildings, energy legislative
3.-4. practical utilization of software for building thermal and acoustic technology into sequnce on valid legislative
5.-6. choice optimalization of construction with respect to their thermal-technical and acoustic characteristics
7.-8. solving of design detail without thermal bridge
9.-.10. designing and checking of the rooms from the viewpoint of securing of desired condition of thermal and acoustic comfort
11.-12. Fundamentals designing of buildings with low energy intensiveness
13. Facilities of practical checking of thermal-technical parametrs

Aims

The aim of the subject is design of building structures to avoid risk of thermal and technical defects and deficiencies and also to fulfil requirements of the ordinance no. 268/2009 St and of the standard ČSN 73 0540-2:2002. Design of parting constructions respecting air-bone and impact sound requirements. Design of openings to provide required visual comfort, daylighting and insolation of buildings.
