Project Management of Building Constructions II

Project management, management of construction project, investor and contractor. Technology of object construction – construction phases and technological phases. Modelling of construction production – construction and technological projecting. Principles of flow construction theory, balancing, jointing and flow periods calculation. Automation of construction and technological projecting – MS Project, CONTEC. Tendering for contracts acquiring and contractual security. Contract process management, time and source planning. Construction site – operational and production part, lifting mechanisms, social background. Public law hearing in process of construction preparing and realisation. Documentation for investment development projects. Quality management and securing of construction quality. Safety and health protection in construction realisation process, environment conservation.

Knowledge and skills from project management and to adopt concrete procedures and methods in construction project management.

Prerequisites

To understand basics of project management, phasing of projects connected with development, content and methods of planning and realization of constructions, technology of construction production and basics of net analysis.

1. Project management, construction project management, types of activities and partners in construction process, construction and technological preparation
2. Organisation and definitions of construction firm, production process management, fundamental terms
3. Application MS Project
4. Construction contract process as project, production process, methods of construction, flow method
5. Parameters of flows, types of flows, flow period, schema of flow progress, flows balancing, jointing of particular flows
6. Application Contec – construction and technological network chart, types of connections, basic functions, data, typical graphs, modelling and outputs
7. Construction site – fundamental terms and requirements, division, operational part, objects for maintenance and reparations, site communications, stocks and stockpiles, water supply, drainage
8. Construction site – electricity supply, operational protection and safety, production part, social and hygienic objects, lifting mechanisms, methodology of proposal
9. Function of statistic, basic statistical teminology, statistical coding - classifications, registers, inflation, price statistic, price statistic in civil engineering
10. System of construction management and management instruments

12. Environment conservation, waste treatment, recycling

Aims

To get further knowledge and skills from project management and to adopt concrete procedures and methods in construction project management. Necessary knowledge for planning and management of projects on the supplier’s side. Presumption for acquiring project manager certification in Czech Republic according to IPMA policy for level D „Certificated Project intern".
