Sports Training

The subject focuses on the gaining of basic knowledge in the area of sports training, on the understanding of the way things work in sports training, and on the application of gained knowledge to advisory and consultation activities regarding healthy lifestyles and leading an active way of life (free time, sport for all).

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Tuition of this subject should provide the students with basic knowledge from the theory of sports training. Knowledge of the fundamentals for sports training and understanding the way it works is an important prerequisite for understanding the relationships between health and movement activities and for the correct choice of the movement activities and intensity of exercise that can be engaged in without causing harm to the organism.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of human biology at basic orientation in physical raining and society.

- Efficiency of sports training. Components of sports training.
- Fitness preparation - movement abilities.
- Planning and recording of sports training.
- Technical, tactical, psychological and theoretical preparation.
- Composition of sports training. Stages of sports training.
- Summary of the topic issues and preparation for the exam.

- Material from lectures will be practised in the practical lessons, with a focus on the key areas of the given topic. Recommendations for self-study - preparation for the final exam.

Aims

Tuition of this subject should provide the students with basic knowledge from the theory of sports training. Knowledge of the fundamentals for sports training and understanding the way it works is an important prerequisite for understanding the relationships between health and movement activities and for the correct choice of the movement activities and intensity of exercise that can be engaged in without causing harm to the organism.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The subject is divided into lectures and practical lessons. Both lectures and practical lessons are compulsory. The subject will be concluded with a written examination. Any absence must be duly excused and substituted for after agreement with the head of the subject.
