Pedagogy and Psychology

Differentiated population protection, people managing basic knowledge, additional knowledge of current situation and experts. Goals, preparation and methods of arranging practical training and model exercises. Methods applicable to training organization and relevant management. Goals, preparation and excursion accomplishment.
Human personality. Psychic processes, perception, memory, attentiveness, thinking. Psychic characteristics, temper, qualities, abilities. Social communication, active listening, conflict solution strategy. Assertive behaviour, assertiveness fundamentals and relevat behaviour techniques. Social groups typology, roles, positions, prestige, status, standards, social control, culture, socialization. Contemporary Czech society. Sociology of a family and work, job satisfaction. Practical application of methods and techniques of sociology research to different branches (e.g. questionnaire, etc.).

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Practical application of acquired theoretical knowledge within psychology and pedagogy branches. To master social communication, active listening, conflict solution. Knowledge of fundamentals of sociological research methods and techniques.

Prerequisites

Basic funadamentals of pedagogy and psychology from the secondary school.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Graded credit. To pass two tests in written form (pedagogy + psychology-sociology) and reach minimum required points in each part. To master introduction to pedagogy, psychology, behaviour of individuals and groups.
