Propagation of electromagnetic waves in homogeneous medium, plane and spherical wave. Waves on trasmission lines. Basic types of transmission lines and their parameters. Impedance transformation and matching. Basic theory of metal waveguides. Radiation of elementary sources, radiation patterns of linear antennas and arrays. Survey of the most important antenna types, parameters of antennas. Propagation along the earth surface, radio wave communication. Waves in inhomogeneous medium,reflection, diffraction.
