The purposes of subject is acquaint students with fundamental types and structure communication networks designated for transmission calling, data and picture and technology of transmission information in them used.

Network Goals. Topology and network structure. Transfer mode. The layer theory and primitive operations.
Data communication. The open system archtecture, the ISO reference model, Public data networks (PDN).
The physical layer. Recomandation ITU V, X and I. The medium characteristics. The signal adaptation to medium.
The data link layer protocols. Error correction and error detection codes. Transparency. Numbering of frame. Configuration of station. The BSC and HDLC Protocol.
The network layer. Routing algorithms, virtual connection and logical channel, flow control, type of packets. X.25 structure. The transport and session layer. PAD.
The presentation and application layer. Data type prepresentation, data compression, authentication and digital signature. Local networks – types and topology. Repeaters, bridges, routers, gates.
Computer communication architectures for TCP/IP protocols. Internet.

Make-up common frames and data transmission by means of non protective halfduplex protocol in topologii point-point.
Integration transmitter-receiver into one station.
Manners of error-protected frames generation. Manners of remainder computation by division generational polynominal with a view to halftable method. Programming table of remainders by division.
Programming computation of error-protected frames (FCS). Integration of error-protected frame mechanism into communication protocol.
Numbering mechanism of frames. Integration mechanism of sliding windows into communication protocol.
Error correction method at transmission frames. Possibilities of rejection frames and programming REJ mode.
Reasons of protocol transparency and manners their solution.
