Diagnostics of Socio-technical Systems

The analysis of qualification and readiness of a human factor and technical control, conditions for the process realisation. Audits are also an essential part of conformity assessment activities such as external certification/registration and of supply chain evaluation and surveillance. International Standard ISO 19011 provides the guidance on the principles of auditing, managing audit programmes, conducting quality management system audits and environmental management system audits, as well as the guidance on the competence of quality and environmental management system auditors.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The knowledge in the area of classification of analytical methods for analysing systems and technical equipment. Planning and making internal audit.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of management, especially quality management. Statistical process control, systems and operational analysis.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Participation in seminars. Submitting a semester work and its presentation at seminars. If the conditions are not met, an alternative assignments may be given. Examination - student’s appraisal: excellent (90-100 points), very good (80-89 points), good (70-79 points), satisfactory (60-69 points), sufficient (50-59 points), failed (0-49 points).

Aims

Explain analytical operation for quality of production. Students will be made familiar with fundamental methods for analysing socio-techniques systems.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

The attendance at seminars is compulsory. An alternative assignment may be given to students if the condition is not met (in justified cases)
