Metrology and Testing

Basic knowledge of legal and scientific metrology, measuring instruments, measuring instruments application, machine-tool checking and testing, materiology (crack detection), international standards application (ISO/TC 213), requisition on geometry (GPS),European and national system.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Theoretical base and practical familiarity in the frame of exercises with qualitative and quantitative methods and with the procedures of verification compliance with the specifications including visual examples of elaboration of measurement uncertainty in the region GPS using the modern and unique means as laser interferometers.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of manufacturing technology, egineering metrology and applied statistic.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

For credit graduation it is necessary to have the active presence in laboratories and the elaboration of documents of quality system (calibration, certificate...) in relation with CSN EN 4500 and according the further requirements of the exercice master. The examination is composed from writen and oral part during which the student demonstrotes the basic theoretical and practical knowledge,

Aims

To acquaint the students with actual reality of avialable producting quality from supplies of goods and services.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Hours absented in experimental exercices is necessary to replaced. In the case of more absences it is necessary to elaborate a new program and defence ii during the credit test.

3.-4. Geometrical requirements on the parameters (GPS)in the international normalisation as the mean of quality control.
5. Representation of measurement resultes for practical prasentation of agreement in systems of quality.
6.-7. Uncertaicics of measurement.
8.-9. Classical means of quality controle.
10.-11. Modern means of quality controle.
12. Basic explanation of nondestructive tests of materials and products.
13. Deffectoscopy methods and their application.
