The course offers enrichment of knowledge in both grammar and technical language.
Conversational part is based on topics chosen by the students themselves.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course is designed to ensure that students learn to express themselves
effectively on variety of topics.
Active language acquisition improves students' writing and oral skills.

Prerequisites

Knowledge of grammar and vocabulary gained at the exam 7az = B1.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

The assessment of the student is carried out by the teacher objectively according to the student's language ability in the form of oral exam and his activity in the course.

1. Complete the drawing: kitchen - pair work, My winter holidays - conv.
2. Subject and Object Questions + exerc., 20 questions (game), crossword puzzles
3. Parts of Body, Faulty Objects,Tongue Twisters, Catch a plane (list.+conv.)
4. Following instructions - pair work, Riddles, 5 minutes´talk + conv.
5. Word Pyramids, passive + exerc., one - sided dialogues, word football (game)
6. Likes and dislikes - pair work + conv., time and if- clauses + game
7. Asking for and giving directions - pair work, Deserted Island - conv.
8. Tandem 19 - Expressing opinions, I have won 1 million - conv., Word Hunt
9. Speaking Personally: Brain Fever, Pure Logic, rep. gerund, jokes
10.Problem Solving Task: Faults (in a workshop), Looking for a job - conv.
11.Tandem 27 - Giving and responding to suggestions, formal x informal lang.
12. Tandem 18 -Expressing degrees of certainty, 5 minutes´talk - conv.
13. A Bussiness Game - logical game, course unit credits

Aims

The course is designed to ensure that students have maximum opportunity
to develop confident communicative ability in English, with emphasis on panel
discussion including objections,questions and opinions.Students learn to express
themselves on a variety of topics.
