Computer Aided Production Systems II

The course familiarises students with modern methods applied for creating application programs used in the area of manufacturing system control. Some examples of this type of programs are presented such as InTouch, InTrack and InControl, MS SQL Server as an industrial database system.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will acquire knowledge necessary for work with object-oriented development environments such as InTouch and InTrack.

Prerequisites

Students are expected to have a knowledge of development environment InTouch and InControl. They should be familiar with the programming languages defined by IEC1131-3, scripting language of InTouch and database query language SQL as well. Basic knowledge of database and information systems is also expected.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Attendance at practicals, working out of the semester project.

Aims

The aim of the course is to describe the current state of using SW for computer aided production. It focuses especially on control programs for production systems.

Specification of controlled education, way of implementation and compensation for absences

Attendance at obligatory lessons is checked and only substantial reasons of absence are accepted. Missed lessons can be substituted for via solution of extra exercises.

7-10. Using the components of runtime engine of MES system to building application
