Course detail

Special Foundry Technologies

FSI-HSL-KAcad. year: 2009/2010

Basic overview of mould and core technologies, different possibilities of pouring liquid metal into a mould cavity.
The course provides students with basic knowledge of the individual phases of the casting processes and also gives a chance of comparing different manufacturing methods used.
This course is focused primarily to the less "conventional" technologies such as investment casting, lost foam process, vaccuum moulding etc.
