Diploma Seminar (M2317)

The purpose of the course is for students to acquire the ability to present, in written and orally, the results obtained in the course of working out the diploma project. The results are analysed and evaluated in order to reach more complex results.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Students will be made familiar with general principles of working out a project. They will be able to elaborate documentation for the solved problem, and to present orally the results obtained in the course of working out the project.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge acquired within previous study, especially of project and design of production machines

Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

1. Attendance at the exercises 2. Fulfilling the regular check conditions – the terms will be specified individually at the beginning of the semester. 3. Submitted semester work – drawings and textual documentation elaborated with the help of computer. The final report shall be elaborated according to the requirements submitted at the beginning of the semester. The drawing documentation shall be elaborated to the phase of functional and dimensional proposals.

The aim of the course is for students to work out and submit the final project and the diploma project in the given terms.

1. Attendance at laboratory seminars is required in 100 % 2. Properly elaborated and approved reports of the laboratory tutorials
