The course is focused on the following areas:
-A general overview of lthe workings of libraries and their work (domestic and foreign), including services plus orientation in the services libraries they provide.- Skills needed necessary for effective work when searching for information in libraries.- Working effectively with technical literature (use of and distinction between direct and indirect quotations).
-Working with searches and annotations.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The student will:- acquire basic knowledge about of the workings of libraries and their work (domestic and foreign),- learn about the possibilities and varieties range of services provided by which libraries provide ,,- acquire develop basic skills needed necessary for use of ling library servicesies,- learn how to look for information effectively in libraries,- learn how to work with literature and use direct and indirect quotations,- work with searches and annotations.

Basic knowledge corresponding to the level of a school-leaving final examination at secondary school.
