Planned learning activities and teaching methods

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

Assesment methods and criteria linked to learning outcomes

Team project - 50 points.
Presentation of team projects - 50 points.

Course curriculum

1. Introduction to the subject. Sustainable development. Agenda 21. Indicators. Macro economical coherences of protection of environment – state environmental politics, normative and economical tools on environmental politics.

2. Macroeconomic relations of the environmental questions – Externalities in firm‘s practice
3. Concept of environmental management, differences between attitudes introduced in standards EN CSN ISO 14 000 and EMAS. Cleaner production.

4. Environmental investments into the environment, their quantification, attitudes towards determination of their priorities. Conception, principles and tools of ecological politics.

5. Method of life cycle assessment - LCA.

6. Environmental Impact Assessment.

7. Environmental economics of the firm, environmental accounting, environmental costs, environmental management accounting, environmental reporting.


8. - 12. Elaboration of a group project on given topic.
13. Project defence. Credit.
