Psychologie in practice

The course focuses on the basic theoretical knowledge from psychology, especially those that are applicable in managerial work. The course offers also a space for a personal experience, the development of self cognition, and a training of basic psychological skills usable in practice.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

The course strengthen the competency of the absolvent in the area of personal psychology, theory of motivation, motivation of employers in the company, personal management, coping with stress, and gender and intercultural aspects of managerial work.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge and skills in human communication and team work.

Teaching methods depend on the type of course unit as specified in the article 7 of BUT Rules for Studies and Examinations.

The conditions of successful graduation of this course are oral presentation and a written elaborate handed in therm.

Aims

The aim of the course is to offer the overview about the basic theoretical, methodological, and applicable knowledge in managerial psychology. The emphasis is especially on social psychological consequences in the area of management, the problematic of human resources, communication and specific interpersonal situations.
