Course detail

Traffic Engineering

FAST-CM04Acad. year: 2009/2010

The aim of this subject is to acquaint the students with the basics of transport engineering. The contents of teaching include the basic theory of traffic flow, the system of capacity calculations of road sections and crossroads, the system of traffic organization in towns and cities and the using of new control technologies for capacity raise and traffic monitoring (telematika). Further on the students will be acquainted with the ways of data collection and data processing of traffic intensity – traffic researches and the creating of traffic models for individual car traffic and public transport. All examples will come from practice experiences.
