Metal Bridges II (DST)

Box-girder bridges. Bevelled bridges and curved bridges. Composite steel-concrete bridges - structural design, basic principles of static design, using of bridges, errection of bridges. Arched bridges. Suspended and cable-stayed bridges - structural design, basic principles of static design. Bridge supports. Errection of bridges. Examples of realized bridge structures.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student will learn the problems of the course and will get under controll the course aims, within the meaning of obtaining knowledge and skills in the field of design of more complicated structural systems of metal and steel-concrete bridges, concretized in the course schedule.

Prerequisites

Metal structures - design of elements and connections of steel structures. Metal bridges - plated-girder and truss-girder bridges. Concrete structures - design of elements od concrete structures.
