Diploma Seminar I (S-PST)

The main requirement for future student activities as civil engineers is to know expert and producer literature in building construction field. During the diploma thesis processing is possible to define a narrow issue which is to be solved by means of reachable information sources. Information should be analysed, to decide among defined options and determine rational arguments.

Learning outcomes of the course unit

Student must handle the aim of the course. This aim is to be in contact with the technical field professionals and acquired knowledge and use them for work on the final report.

Prerequisites

Building constructures, statics, building physics, building material, building chemistry etc.

1. An assignment of the diploma project
2.–9. On the basis of information gathered by a student, a document will be written up in the uniform text format and with references.

Aims

Students are advised to work independently on the basis of his scientific, theoretic and practical knowledge together with application of his own concepts. The aim is to solve a specific task including an expert assessment and its application in the diploma thesis.
