Course detail

Buildings for extreme climatic conditions

FAST-DH71Acad. year: 2009/2010

Boundary conditions specific for extreme climatic environment. Basic problematic of building design and judgment for extreme climatic conditions. Relation and association between outdoor and indoor climate. Requirements set on constructions according to indoor climate well-being (thermal, acoustic, light, moisture etc.). External influences on building structure (temperature, wind, rain, snow, solar radiation etc.). Building structure design requirements in extreme climatic conditions (constructional, material, technological, fire-stopping, architectural). Design and evaluation of construction detail – external and roof cladding.
