On Thursday, November 28, 2024, the Brno University of Technology (BUT) hosted the first EULiST Day, focusing on communicating the ideas and goals of the European University Alliance EULiST. The event aimed to introduce the opportunities offered by the alliance to the BUT academic community and to demonstrate how it can actively contribute to fostering cooperation with the other nine member universities across Europe.The university hosted the first EULiST Day at BUT. | Autor: Václav KoníčekThe morning session presented the individual work packages coordinated by BUT within the EULiST framework. Martin Očko, the local project coordinator at BUT, delivered the opening remarks, followed by presentations from Jiří Hirš, Zbyněk Křivka, Vítězslav Máša, Zdeňka Pavlačková, and Kamil Gregorek, who lead specific focus areas of the project. The program continued with a discussion on the strength of collaboration within the Central European triangle of Brno–Vienna–Bratislava, featuring coordinators from TU Wien and STU Bratislava. EULiST Day was the first event of its kind, and according to the organizers, it will be followed by numerous activities in collaboration with the faculties.
