To emphasize the importance of combining education with research activities, to carry on integration into the EU university education structures, and to promote cooperation with industrial and commercial organization are the objectives of a cooperation agreement between Brno University of Technology and BVV Trade Fairs Brno signed by Karel Rais, BUT Rector, and Ing. Jiří Kuliš, BVV CEO.
The cooperation should concentrate on presenting the results achieved by BUT faculties at fairs and accompanying events related to the research carried out at such faculties. Brno University of Technology will be given promotion opportunities to present the outcomes of the research conducted by its students at official events held during selected BVV fairs. These will include BVV-defined degree projects and winning projects of student competitions. BVV fairs will see some international conferences and seminars organized by BUT as well as master's exams and exhibitions of BUT students' projects.
„We view cooperation with BVV as an important marketing tool, appreciating the possibility of exhibiting top research achievements so needed in practice, “said Rector of BUT Karel Rais.
The cooperation also aims to strengthen Brno as one of the Czech Republic regions, to extend the study, congress, and exhibition activities in Brno, to extend the range of exhibition programmes offered by BVV for both the experts and a wider public. Also cooperation on educational programmes and support for BUT projects should lead to improving the competitive edge in both the domestic and international exhibition and congress marketplace.
„It is very important for us to take part in the educational process having an opportunity to improve it such as by running competitions of degree projects we assign. This is cooperation with young people, which is the focus of our activities,“ added BVV CEO Ing. Jiří Kuliš.
