BUT has the best halls of residence

BUT's halls of residence have been awarded as the best in the Czech Republic. Magazine studenta.cz organized the second year of competition "Hall of Residence of the Year" in April 2012  in which students could vote via Facebook for the hall of residence, which they consider the best. A total of 124 accomodation facilities was chosen  and BUT in this tough competition managed to take the first and third place. Students chose the Pod Palackého vrchem Residence Hall as the best and 3rd place was taken by Purkyně Residence Hall.

Part of the competition was a unique light show (made by Polish crew P.I.W.O.), which could be seen for the first time in Czech Republic.
