“We moved up thirteen places in the rankings compared to last year and are the highest ranked Czech team competing in the electric car category. Among the European teams, we are ranked eighth, which is a great result considering our relatively short time in the electric category and the great competition from mostly German teams,” says Marek Viktořík, the current head of TU Brno Racing.Dragon e3 at Formula Student Germany | Autor: Karel HorákThere is no time to celebrate this excellent placement, however. The team has been furiously working on this year’s car – a brand new eclectic monopost Dragon e4. They are planning on unveiling it to the public on 26 April. The team plans to move the rollout from its home Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, where it has workshops and facilities, to Brno's Špilberk Castle.
With the new formula, the team plans to take part in three to four races this summer. Thanks to the successful completion of the registration tests, the team has qualified for the most important European races of the Formula Student series and will choose whether to compete in the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Germany or Switzerland.Part of the TU Brno Racing team in summer 2023 | Autor: Tomáš MichálekTU Brno Racing was established at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology in 2010.
