"On average, 100 to 120 participants apply each year. All students heading to BUT or another university can apply," said Marcela Přikrylová from the Continuing Education and Counselling Centre of the Brno University of Technology, which provides the courses.Candidates can choose from two levels. After completing the beginner's course, students will be able to communicate actively in everyday situations and master the language for their further studies at university. In the intermediate course, students will improve their Czech and reach the B1-B2 language level. Both courses are taught over two semesters (560 hours in total) and culminate in a final exam consisting of a written test and an oral exam. Upon completion of the course, learners will receive a certificate of completion with the language level they achieved.Candidates must complete an application form, send a copy of their high school diploma and pay a deposit. The price of the course is CZK 55,000. Details are available on the Continuing Education and Counselling Centre of the Brno University of Technology website.
