International Conference Landscape Settlements Monuments 2025
Drinking, rain, spring, or salt. Water. This has become the theme of this year's third annual international conference Landscape Settlement Heritage 2025, which will take place on April 23 at the Faculty of Civil Engineering Brno University of Technology. Registration is required to participate in the conference.

Water is an inseparable part of our environment and can be found all around us. Experts will discuss how we perceive this element today and how the view of water has changed over time at this interdisciplinary conference, which aims to connect those interested in architecture and construction.
“This is the second time we have set a theme for the conference. Last year's ‘Paths’ showed that thematically focused conferences are interesting for the audience, which is why we have decided to continue with this concept. We are already preparing the central theme for the fourth edition, but we will only reveal it to participants at our April meeting,” said Adam Guzdek, expert guarantor and secretary of the conference from FCE.
This year's conference will focus on water in all its forms, qualities, and occurrences. The individual lectures will highlight the importance of water, its history, and its current role in society. Participants will learn interesting facts about how water affects life and microclimates in cities, water as a traditional healing method, water from an architectural and artistic perspective, and how students at Brno University of Technology perceive this element.
Representatives from Brno University of Technology, Czech Technical University in Prague, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, University of Pardubice, University of Ostrava, Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, Mendel University, and the National Heritage Institute will present their contributions as part of the program.
Registration for the conference is possible until April 21 on the conference website. The detailed program can be found here.
