Two BUT professors received the Prize of the South Moravian Region 2018

On November 29, 2018, the South Moravian Local Authority awarded Professor Jan M. Honzík (Faculty of Information Technology) the Prize of the South Moravian Region for his work with youth. Professor Honzík is the founder of the Summer Computer School for Girls at FIT, which has been working for more than 10 years helping to attract women to IT. Another awarded is Professor Vladimír Šlapeta (Faculty of Architecture) whose work represents the South Moravian Region and contributes to its reputation. The Prize of the South Moravian Region is an award appreciating outstanding merits, heroic and other exceptional acts of personalities who were born, living or otherwise connected with the region. The award was presented in the hall of the Convent of Merciful Brothers in Brno.
