The largest space activity festival in the Czech Republic is comming. Since 2018, events for professionals, the general public, students, seniors, and families with children have taken place across the country every fall. Czech Space Week, with Brno University of Technology (BUT) as a partner and co-organizer, will be held this year from November 4 to November 10. Besides participating in the country’s largest space festival, BUT is also hosting the Space4Women event, which will take place on Thursday, November 7, at the university.VUT hosts Space4Women.It may seem that the space industry is a male-dominated field. In reality, however, there are many successful female scientists, managers, and experts pushing the boundaries of what’s possible, not just in space. The Space4Women event has been successfully breaking stereotypes about the space sector and research for seven years. Its goal is to present the field from the perspective of the women who work in it and contribute to its development. At the same time, it aims to inspire young women and girls to discover the beauty of space and believe that nothing stands in their way of achieving a career in space.Space4Women is a traditional event where successful women working in the space sector share their experiences from their unique perspectives. The purpose is to show young women what working in this field looks like and, if they dream of becoming scientists, experts, or managers, to show them that space is also for them and to inspire them in their future careers.
The speakers for this evening will include Indira Feustel, global space influencer, Jana Mulačová from ESA, and Lucie Kopecká from OHB Czechspace.
