Facility Management Department

Competence

There are five divisions within the Department: the Operations Division, the Building Management Systems Division, the Energy Management Division, the Transport Division and the Information Technology Management Division.

The Operations Department provides in particular:

  • management of the administration and operation of the premises (Rector's Office),
  • management of maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities and outdoor areas (of the Rectorate and methodically of the BUT),
  • management of property management,
  • ensuring and managing building and technological passporting of BUT buildings,
  • property insurance,
  • conducting physical inventory of buildings, halls, structures, land, easements and unfinished fixed assets - land and easements of the BUT (in cooperation with the Economic Department),
  • records of municipal waste,
  • activities related to leases of temporarily unused areas and premises,
  • management of supply and purchasing of the BUT Rector's Office,
  • land administration - management of immovable property subject to registration in the central database of the Land Registry,
  • management of occupational health and safety and fire protection,
  • preparation of documents for public procurement, organisation of tender procedures for small-scale contracts,
  • preparation of non-investment, investment and centralised funds (excluding project funding) operating documents for the Rector's Office budget,
  • registering and publishing contracts under the Operational Department,
  • technical assistance to the faculties and units of the BUT.

The Building Management Systems Administration Department provides in particular:

  • administration of automated building management systems and measurement and control systems,
  • management of building and technology passporting.

The Energy Management Department provides in particular:

  • energy management,
  • energy and utility purchasing and cost optimisation of consumption,
  • coordination and management of metering and control systems in buildings and their technological support.


The Transport Department ensures in particular:

  • transport of persons and cargo according to the needs of BUT departments,
  • domestic and international transport when it is not busy with its main activities,
  • keeping a central register of all BUT vehicles,
  • keeping and recording fuel consumption, number of kilometres driven, technical condition of motor vehicles,
  • maintenance and repair of the BUT fleet,
  • purchase and sale of motor vehicles, documents for their insurance and actions related to vehicle registration,
  • the agenda relating to traffic accidents.


The Information Technology Administration Department provides in particular:

  • development, operation, maintenance, repair, installation, disposal, service and consultancy in the field of information technology, including multimedia equipment for the BUT Rectorate.
