Competence

The Department provides in particular:

• all activities related to the creative development of the BUT, their coordination and evaluation at the BUT,
• administrative support management, coordination, documentation and methodology of science and research in the field of:
  • basic research and creative activities,
  • applied research,
  • innovation and contract research,
• evaluation of research quality and scientific performance,
• cooperation in the methodological management of the evaluation of the personnel development of scientific researchers,
• management of habilitation and appointment procedures,
• methodology, management and distribution of normative funding of science and research institutional support, specific research and support for the development of the BUT science and research budget,
• coordination and management of the agenda of the Scientific Council of the BUT,
• proposing exceptional scholarships for doctoral students for significant scientific achievements,
• organisation, evaluation and reporting of internal grant competitions within specific research,
• evaluation of results within the incentive system for increasing the competitiveness of science and research at the BUT,
• coordination of cooperation between Centres of Excellence, regional centres and BUT components,
• the agenda of the Commission for Science and Research of the BUT Internal Evaluation Council.
