NOTICE FROM THE MOI
NOTICE FROM THE MOI
In connection with the state of emergency and prevention of
COVID-19 disease, activities will be
limited from 16 March 2020
at offices of the Ministry of the Interior dealing with foreigners'
residence permits. Only absolutely necessary tasks will be performed at offices.
Foreigners, who were legally on the territory of the Czech Republic at the moment of the declaration
of the state of emergency,
may continue to remain in the territory
for the duration of the state of
emergency
without any need to resolve their residency status issues.
Applications, notifications or any other submissions, which do not have to be delivered in
person, must be sent by post to the address of the locally assigned office of the Ministry of
Interior of the Czech Republic or to the data box of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech
Republic (ID DS 6bnaawp)!
Submissions requiring personal participation by law must be dealt with only after the end of
the state of emergency.
All deadlines are automatically extended.
The following measures take place at the offices of the Ministry of the Interior since 16 March
2020:
1. ONLY CLIENTS WITH AN APPOINTMENT WILL BE SERVICED.
You can arrange your appointment only by phone or electronically at: https://frs.gov.cz/, if online
ordering is available at locally assigned office of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic.
Arranging your appointment will be possible ONLY for the following tasks:
- registration upon arrival
- acquisition of biometric data
- issue of residence permits
- issuing of the bridging label (i.e. confirmation of legality of your stay)
ALL EXISTING RESERVATIONS FOR ANY OTHER ACTIONS ARE CANCELED !!!
2. VISIT WITHOUT ARRANGING YOUR APPOINTMENT IN ADVANCE will be possible
ONLY for the purpose of issuing of the BRIDGING LABEL (i.e. confirmation of legality of your
stay).
BRIDGING LABELS will be issued from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 10 am only if the client
proves (by air ticket, ticket, reservation is not enough) that he or she needs to travel abroad.
ATTENTION! During the state of emergency, foreigners will not be allowed to return to the
Czech Republic!
