V prvním roce byly definovány dílčí cíle projektu. Prvním bodem byl návrh a realizace testovací aplikace. Druhým bodem bylo vbudování experimentální sítě pro testování univerzálního rozhraní.
Description in EnglishProject follows current trends in development of network technologies with effective support of Quality of Service (QoS) for data networks. Providing several transmission services through a heterogenous transmission network shows most clearly in thelargest computer network, the Internet. Assurance and monitoring of transmission parameters for services in such an extended network is an important aim of the research and development (R&D) in telecommunication technologies. The solution is even morecomplicated by the requirement of usability in third-generation mobile networks. The aim of the project is to develop a software package for the Java programing language. This package will offer a universal programming interface for networkcommunications with QoS support for fixed computer networks and also for mobile networks. Another aim of the project is to develop a routing protocol containing support for QoS and its implementation in the software package. The software package will be
