On the project
The radiative properties for air, metal and plastic vapour will be calculated. Vrious metal parts like electrodes and splitter plates are used and during the switching process the metal in contact with electric arc is vaporized. The metallic vapour changes the composition of the arc plasma and the radiation properties. In order to compute the radiative properties of the air-metal vapour plasma, the plasma composition have to be known.
Description in EnglishThe radiative properties for air and plastic vapour were delivered in a predecessor project. However, in low-voltage circuit breakers various metal parts like electrodes and splitter plates are used and during the switching process the metal in contact with electric arc is vaporized. The metallic vapour changes the composition of the arc plasma and the radiation properties. In order to compute the radiative properties of the air-metal vapour plasma, the plasma composition have to be known.
