Projekt navazuje na úspěšný doktorský grant 102/03/H086. Systémově řeší nedostatky současného DSP: roztříštěnost vzdělávání, přílišnou specializaci, využívání špičkových specializovaných pracovišť malým počtem studentů, časové zatížení studentů a nedostatečnou komunikaci a spolupráci studentů v různých podoborech, které spojují stejné metody modelování, simulací, výpočtů a řešení problémů. Cílem je dotvořit novou koncepci výchovy vědeckých pracovníků založenou na širokém teoretickém základě, efektivním využití času, funkčním spojení studijních a výzkumných aktivit a posílení netradičního myšlení studentů. Tato koncepce má napomoci popularizaci a zvýšení atraktivity DSP a vědy vůbec. Cíle budou plněny pomocí (1) zavedení široce pojatých kurzů pokrývajících modulárně hlavní část problematiky modelování a optimalizace; (2) seminářů s aktivní účastí studentů a odborným dohledem vedoucích týmu; (3) časové optimalizace studia s koncentrací výuky do bloků; (4) aktivit konaných na různých pracovištích; (5) dalších kurzů metod vědecké práce, prezentace, rétoriky ap.; (6) podporou vlastní vědecko-výzkumné práce doktorandů na tématech jejich disertačních prací. V projektu je zohledněn pokrok, který v posledních čtyřech letech nastal v řešené oblasti.

Description in English
The project follows the previous successful doctoral grant 102/03/H086. It solves disadvantages of the current PhD studies including a fractionalism of the education, excessive specialisation in particular areas, insufficient sharing of wellequipped laboratories, insufficient communication and co-operation among students while they use the same techniques of modelling, simulation and optimisation. The aims are to modify the structure of education based on wide theoretical knowledge, efficient spending of time during studies, effective conjunction of both educational and research activities, support of extraordinary thinking and problem solving and making doctoral studies and science more attractive and popular. The aims will be fulfilled by (1) introduction of theoretical modular courses covering a major part of modelling and optimisation; (2) new types of seminars with an active participation of students supervised by the project leaders; (3) time optimisation of the studies; (4) activities in different laboratories and workplaces; (5) courses of presentation, speech training, communication skills, etc.; (6) support of individual research activities of the students. The project reflects the recent advances in the field of interest.
